Fw: Campus Notice: Reflecting Hurricane Lane Closures in IC

Teachers-
Some of you have been asking about what to mark on the attendance card for last week Thursday and Friday. Please do not mark anything on those days on the attendance cards. Leave them blank.

As for infinite campus the state is working to mark the students as "inclement weather". No action is needed on your part.

Re: Reflecting Hurricane Lane Closures in IC

The Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) will be assisting all DOE schools that have not yet updated their school calendars to reflect the closures due to Hurricane Lane.

  • All Hawaii Island and Maui County schools' calendars in Infinite Campus will be updated to reflect the non-school days using the "Inclement Weather" code for Wednesday, August 22 through Friday, August 24.

  • All Oahu and Kauai schools' calendars will be updated with the "Inclement Weather" code for Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24.

These "Inclement Weather" days will be indicated with School Day checked "Yes" and Instruction and Attendance checked "No". If your school has already updated your Infinite Campus calendar correctly, your changes will remain.  If your school has not made the updates correctly, please hold off and allow OITS to do the mass update. This process will not apply to the Hawaii Public Charter Schools.

Should you have any questions, please submit an incident at help.hidoe.org or call the IT Help Desk at 564-6000 on Oahu.  Neighbor islands may call 8-1-808-692-7250 (Hawaii Advanced Telephone System (HATS)), Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
