Alu Likehanai A Ulu-Foster Grandparent program

This program will provide a  grandparent  tutor to your classroom on a weekly basis.  This is not someone who comes in and sits in the back, watches and assists as necessary. This is a trained volunteer who will be assigned students by you with specific things to work on such as emotional, cognitive or social concerns. Admin Out

Laura is out on funeral leave for rest of this week. Next week, I will be going on a SPED Teacher Recruitment trip for Campbell-Kapolei Complex.  Dr. Humble had scheduled this recruitment trip last June and principals have taken their turns in going on this recruitment trip timed to CEC Conference.  This year, it is my turn to recruit on behalf of our complex-area.  Kim Sanders, Ewa Makai Middle School principal and I will be scheduling interviews with applicants all of next week in Indianapolis (yes, where for the past 2 weeks, temperatures have been in the 20s). The first week of February, Chad will be on leave.   If you have any questions or need signatures from administration, please approach any of one of us who will be on campus in the next 2.5 weeks. Healthroom

Tina Pirga is currently in the hospital recovering from surgery.  She may require additional treatment that will keep her out longer than anticipated.  We will try to see if we can bring in a substitute Health Aide to assist us in the Healthroom.  Meanwhile your prayers and good wishes for Tina's quick recovery is welcome. Continue to send down students who are ill and/or need their medication.  We will take care of their needs until a substitute health aide can be found. deb Deb Hatada, Principal Kaimiloa Elementary School Office (808) 689-1280   FAX (808) 689-1284

Please see below and if you are free on Monday, January 21st (Martin Luther King Day), please join us at a Cougar Reunion luncheon.  Stan and I had hosted this event in the past and it is a good chance to reconnect with teachers who have moved beyond Kaimiloa Elementary. Deadline is tomorrow to respond but I have asked for an extension - pls. let me know if you are free to join this Cougar for Life event! deb Deb Hatada, Principal Kaimiloa Elementary School Office (808) 689-1280   FAX (808) 689-1284 ----- Forwarded by Debra Hatada/KAIMILOA/HIDOE  on 01/10/2019 10:09 AM  ----- From: Stanley Tamashiro/EWA/HIDOE To: Jean Jones/KAIMILOA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Laura Nakamura/KAIMILOA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Chad Nacapuy/KAIMILOA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Mariko Yorimoto/ILIMA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Julie Otsu/HOLOMUA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Laura Obuhanych/HOLOMUA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Noelle Hasegawa/KAIMILOA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Gayle Hamanaka/KAIMILOA/HIDOE, Wendy Boggs/KAIMILOA/HIDOE@HIDOE, Raymond Galicia/KAIMILOA/HIDOE@HIDOE, W
