Ho`okui After School Enrichment Program

Hi All,
I hope you all are surviving these first weeks of school and had time to think
about the Enrichment class you will be teaching for Ho`okui this year.  Well.....

What is this?
Campbell Complex 21st Century Grant is referred to as Ho`okui.
This is a 5 year federal grant which we are in Year 4.  There are 4 objectives
that we need to adhere to:
#1:  Participants will demonstrate educational and social benefits and exhibit positive behavioral changes
(Students' attendance and behavior will improve)
#2:  Offer a range of high-quality educational, developmental and recreational services
(Need to have homework/tutoring time, 30-45 minutes)
#3:  Serve children and community members with the greatest need for expanded learning opportunities
(Tier 1 and 2, but not limited to.  We include all students.)
#4:  Participants will demonstrate academic improvement based on formative and summative assessments given throughout the school year
( 70% of students will increase scale scores on Reading and/or Math by 10% over the baseline)

One big change this year is instead of teachers recommending students, the students will sign up for class(es) they would like to join. I will figure out how to manage this when classes/teachers are finalized.
