Aloha!
We're excited to announce that our registration is open for our Feb 9, 2019 workshop with Doug Fisher.  Dr. Fisher will be focusing the workshop around content area literacy through a gradual release of responsibility framework and ways for students to access complex texts.

As we move forward with NGSS and our new social studies standards, we know the importance of our students being able to access complex content area texts. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more and provide strategies to support our learners.

Dr. Fisher is a professor of Educational Leadership at San Diego State University as well as a teacher at Health Sciences High and Middle College.  He has published numerous articles and books on literacy and learning. Please visit his website to learn more.

You may register online

We hope to see you on Feb 9, 2019 at Hookele Elementary School from 7:45am-1:00pm.

Deb Hatada, Principal Kaimiloa Elementary School Office (808) 689-1280   FAX (808) 689-1284 Good morning, Yes. That is correct. I apologize for not making that clear. Restating just for clarification   Greater than .90 High correlation means that there is a definite relationship between performance on iReady and SBA Between .6 and .9 Medium correlation means there might be some relationship or connection between how well a student does on iReady is predictive as to how well they will do on SBA Less than .6 Little correlation means scores on both assessments have no relationship at all to each other I look forward to working with you folks on the 18th a...
