Aloha Teachers!
As part of our efforts to ensure that PD has a positive impact on student achievement (WASC), we are working to put a system in place to check and act based on data we collect. Therefore, we will be conducting a Math Linking Walk (also known as a Walkthrough) next Thursday on 12/13. The purpose of this walkthrough is to determine where we are in terms of the implementation of learning targets & success criterias, as well as the work we have done so far with Wes Yuu. This walkthrough will also be used to triangulate data and to coordinate future Wes Yuu PDs and to celebrate progress in our current efforts to improve math instruction and learning on our campus. (Wes will also be doing his own walkthrough on Jan 15th to look at how students are interacting with the LISC.)
A schedule will be forthcoming to determine the time for each classroom. A group of 3 people will be coming at a time. The Linking Walk will last no longer than 20 minutes. We are requesting that for this one day, if you could teach math during the time walkthrough will take place in your room.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
