Fw: Discovery Education Science Techbook: FREE Access for CK Schools (ends 3/20)

Next school year SY 2019 - 2020, HCPS Science content standards sunsets and NGSS Content Standards will be in place for all DOE schools.  While we have not decided as a complex yet whether to go with a Science Techbook as Discovery ED is giving free access to for 10 days or a Science Text, we will need to plan for how we will teach Science next year.  Pls. see below and find some time to go over what Discovery Ed is offering.

Discovery Education has provided each CK school FREE access to their Science Techbook for the next 10 days.  Here are the directions for Login:

    1. Go to www.discoveryeducation.com

    2. Click the "Login" button on the top right-hand corner and the select Passcode/Create new user.   

    3. Use the Passcode below to create a user account using your work email address as your username.

As we dig deeper into iReady implementation this year, I wanted our District Resource teacher Daniel Noia to pull some data for us correlating SBA and iReady data.  Below are his findings.  This may help grade levels who are looking at iReady scores and goal planning for their classes. New Xerox D95 Machine

Hello, Our New Xerox D95 machine is in and ready to use. Please start to use the machine during the summer. The new machine is black and white is should be used for all the high volume print jobs.  We created user accounts for all users. Your code will be the last four of your employee ID #.  You can start to make copies on both machines.
