This program will provide a  grandparent  tutor to your classroom on a weekly basis.  This is not someone who comes in and sits in the back, watches and assists as necessary. This is a trained volunteer who will be assigned students by you with specific things to work on such as emotional, cognitive or social concerns. Laura is out on funeral leave for rest of this week. Next week, I will be going on a SPED Teacher Recruitment trip for Campbell-Kapolei Complex.  Dr. Humble had scheduled this recruitment trip last June and principals have taken their turns in going on this recruitment trip timed to CEC Conference.  This year, it is my turn to recruit on behalf of our complex-area.  Kim Sanders, Ewa Makai Middle School principal and I will be scheduling interviews with applicants all of next week in Indianapolis (yes, where for the past 2 weeks, temperatures have been in the 20s). Tina Pirga is currently in the hospital recovering from surgery.  She may require additional treatment that will keep her out longer than anticipated.  We will try to see if we can bring in a substitute Health Aide to assist us in the Healthroom.  Meanwhile your prayers and good wishes for Tina's quick recovery is welcome. Congratulations everyone we had  0 reportable discrepancies during our Mock HIOSH inspections.  Hats off to Robin and the Custodian team who work hard to keep the school safe. Hello, Xerox machine is up and running!!! The technician informed me that the top feeder is jamming due to the rollers not being used.  Anytime there's a paper jam, please open up the top feeder and use the green roller to take out any debris.
